One nice perk that we did enjoy was visiting the neighboring Dreams resort.Secrets Playa Mujeres Golf & Spa Resort is located in beautiful Playa Mujeres, complete with famous white sandy beaches and stunning ocean views in a privileged gated community. Woke up early for a beachside yoga class only for instructor to not show up and was completely ignored by the circuit class instructor. Pasta at Portofino was over cooked, chicken at Bordeaux was dry and fried rice at Himitsu was soggy - could have done a better job with activities. People would wake up early and reserve with towels and if you didn’t plan ahead you’re out of luck - shows were lackluster and nightlife was also nonexistent - some food was pretty decent but others were terrible. Instead of a nice glass of champagne at check in, you are greeted with a personnel luring you in with a “welcome present” and convincing you to sign up for a timeshare presentation - we went around Christmas and finding pool chairs was almost impossible. Overall, the stay was relaxing and a good family trip but would probably explore elsewhere in the future due to some key factors: - beware of the timeshare sellers.
